On 22nd June 2018, in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a ceremony for presentation of the letters of credence by the non-resident ambassadors was organized at the Presidential Palace. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Moscow, Mustafa Mujezinovic, presented to Mrs. Gulshara Naushaqyzy Abdiqalyqova, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan, the Letters of Credence issued by the BiH Presidency, empowering him to represent our country in this rather large and wealthy Asian Republic.
In a cordial conversation following the ceremony, Mrs. Abdiqalyqova expressed her appreciation to Bosnia and Herzegovina for its support to Kazakhstan in the international organizations, emphasizing that mutual support would continue in future as well, and that our bilateral relations would continually improve.
The Ambassador underlined that the most important goal of Bosnia and Herzegovina was to become member of the European Union, adding that in the coming period we have to make efforts in order to improve our trade of goods and mutual investments with Kazakhstan which offers paramount opportunities, while a bilateral visa regime liberalization should also be considered.
Madam Secretary also pointed out the importance of the last year’s visit of the BiH Presidency Member Mr. Izetbegovic to Kazakhstan and his meeting with the President Nazarbayev aimed at improvement of diplomatic and economic relations of the two countries.
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Roman Vassilenko proposed to get initiated the procedure for mutual agreeing the major bilateral agreements such as double taxation avoidance agreement and improvement of economic relations agreement. He also proposed exchange of experience in area of governing the inter-ethnic relations within our two countries which both have multi-ethnically composed population.
The FA Deputy Minister particularly emphasized that Kazakhstan would soon appoint an honorary consul of Kazakhstan in Sarajevo, what would be an opportunity for improvement of economic relations of our two countries.
